An interesting tool to visualize development patterns and to note landscape oddities. I hadn't realized just how many golf courses we had for instance. Nor did I know just how noticible their unnatural naturalness would be on a sat photo. The football stadium/Jordan Centre complex really stands out as well. As does good old Mt. Nittany. But the most impressive thing to me is just how much open space still surrounds us, particularly as farmland. Maybe the battle to slow down the development stampede is not totally lost after all.
